Our house is immersed into the silence of the night, with shadows growing long, lit with random flashes of the warm flame of a kerosene lamp. For little Stesha the darkness turns out to be an occasion for the discovery of another world, sometimes scary, sometimes fascinating. Fragments of shaky memories, voices, flashes of light – the trembling sensations of early childhood that remain with us forever.

Biography of the director:
Mikhail Gorobchuk, cameraman, director, animator, was born on 04.06.1988 in Novokuznetsk, Kemerovo region. In 2010, he graduated from the cinematography department of VGIK (workshop of I. S. Klebanov). In 2007-2012, he headed the animation studio at the"Pleskovo" boarding school . In 2007, he received a Presidential Grand Prix as part of the support for talented youth. In 2012, he made his debut as a director of non-fiction films. In 2013, he received the National Award in the field of non-fiction films and TV "Laurel Branch" in the nomination "The best cameraman by profession". Since 2014, he has been a member of the Union of Filmmakers of Russia, a member of the Guild of Non-Fiction Films and TV. In addition to documentaries, he is engaged in plasticine animation.
