The end of the 19th century. The time of rapid industrial growth, technical inventions and great discoveries, the time of adventurers and great romantics.
The Arctic and Antarctic have not yet been conquered. A group of Russian scientists led by Vasiliev, an astronomer is sent to Svalbard to finally measure the shape of the globe.
Mysterious and tragic events begin to happen on the archipelago. The fate of the expedition is on the verge of collapse. But Vasiliev must finish the job he started, even at the cost of his own life.
Alexey Telnov
Biography:

Born on 01.02.1974 in Leningrad. He graduated from SPbGUKI (Library and Information Faculty) in 1996. In the same year, he began working at the Lenfilm studio as a production manager and an administrator; "Confessions to a Stranger" (with Sandrine Bonner), "The Circus burned down and the clowns ran away" (dir. V. Bortko), Dmitry Meskhiev's trilogy for the 100th anniversary of cinema.
Since 2004, he headed the production studio "KinoFabrika" at the Documentary Film Studio, the main focus of which was shooting commercials, clips, presentation and corporate films.
Since 2007, he has been the General Director of the St. Petersburg Documentary Film Studio.
Since 2009, Telnov has been a member of the Union of Filmmakers of Russia, and since 2010 he has been a member of the board of the Union of Filmmakers of Russia.

Mikhail Malakhov
Biography:

Born on June 11, 1980.
Education: All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography named after S. A. Gerasimov (VGIK), film directing (workshop of V. B. Akhadov).
The main film director of the INNOKO FILMS studio (Ryazan).
From 2009 to 2015, he participated in seven expeditions of the Russian Geographical Society (Alaska, the Aleutian Islands, North America).
Author of series of programs for Ryazan television (travel programs "Compass", "Look beyond the horizon").
In 2014 he was a participant of the project of the Russian Geographical Society named "Russian Peaks of Spitsbergen". At the moment, work is being completed on a documentary film based on the results of the expedition to Svalbard.
